Moving on from being the Writer
Until now, I have focused on this story as a writer, considering concept, plot, pacing, structure and I am at a point where I have a story that I believe (hope) is conceptually solid and engaging.
Building a Director's Vision
Inspired the approach of director Rob Sarkies, this next series of blogs will be aimed at developing the director's vision for the film, and the goal will be to produce a "manifesto" or "vision" document which will capture the heart of the story, the characters, and the visual and stylistic intentions of the film. The ultimate intention is to use these blog posts to produce a document which provides an inspirational and directional vision for the film for those involved with the project: actors, artistic collaborators, and crew can grasp the bigger picture and hopefully guide them in the details of their work.
The blog series will include my director's exploratory thoughts, as I develop the ideas that will bring clarity to how I approach the film from a sensory and emotional perspective. It will include information on actors, location possibilities & choices, production design, visual cues, artist models, inspiration, and storyboards.

Caleb is a 2nd year film student, he has a great eye, and excellent composition skills so I look forward to working with him for the first time.
